A moisture donating gel to maintain an optimum environment for healing.
- Provides a moist environment for the wound
- Supports autolytic debridement when needed
Areas of use
Normlgel may be used in granulating and open wounds such as pressure ulcers, venous and arterial leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, superficial burns (1st and 2nd degree) and open surgical wounds. Normlgel may as well be used on wounds covered with dry fibrin.
How Normlgel works
Normlgel should be applied to the wound but not on the surrounding healthy skin. Normlgel provides moisture to the wound and thereby maintains a moist environment which is beneficial for the wound healing process. The moist wound environment supports autolytic debridement and protects newly formed tissue.
Normlgel is made of a 0.9 % sodium chloride solution in gel form containing sodium chloride, water and xantham gum.
